The Challenge

To create a social area and canteen on the new mezzanine floor that CiS had already installed in their warehouse distribution centre in Scotland.

The Solution

The installation of 1-hour fire rated steel stud partition from the mezzanine floor to the underside of the roof. Constructed using a steel stud framework clad on each side with a double layer of 12.5mm plasterboard decorated in vinyl wall covering. The void is insulated with 50mm Isowool partition roll insulation.

The installation of a suspended ceiling grid and tiles. Insulating the suspended ceiling with fibreglass.

Fitting 7.5m² non-slip vinyl to the floor.

The installation of a kitchenette consisting of 2 units, worktop and 1½ bowl sink unit with mixer tap and a backboard to protect the wall in the area of the kitchenette.

Installation of 1780mm high x 305mm wide x 450mm deep locker units. The locker units have a light grey carcass and red doors. Each locker comes complete with a deadlock and two keys.

Supply of one natural oak MFC top circular table 1000mm diameter x 730mm high with 60mm tubular steel legs.

Supply of 8 red polypropylene solid seat and mesh back chrome legged breakout chairs.

The Results

Creation of a kitchenette and social area.
