The Shuttleworth Collection.

The Shuttleworth Collection is an aeronautical and automotive museum. It is one of the most prestigious in the world due to the variety of old and well-preserved aircraft.
The Challenge
To subdivide a 110m hangar building to form two 50m hangars with a 10m office section in the centre. To install a mezzanine floor to create a two-storey office space.
The Solution
Installation of 2 x 23.8 linear metres jumbo stud partition walls, including specialist installation was required to meet Building Regulation Standards.
Installation of a 12.6m x 8.8m mezzanine floor to create office spaces on the ground and first floor.
Installation of 114 square metres of the suspended ceiling to the first-floor area.
Fire rating the new mezzanine floor, utilising suspended ceilings, column casing and fascias to meet Building Regulation Standards.
Installation of wall lining on the inside face of the hangar to provide insulation and an aesthetic finish to the offices.
Subdivision of the office space with various partitions to create a canteen, stores, shower room, toilets and offices.
The Results
Jumbo stud wall partition.
Mezzanine floor installed to support the first-floor office space and clad by a full-height partition on the front face.
Office space created on the ground floor underneath the mezzanine floor.
Office space created on the first floor by installing a mezzanine floor.
